Joyce C. Irons is the owner, founder, and managing therapist of The Clarity Psychological Group where she and her associates provide counseling services to individuals, couples and families using holistic and mindful approaches to counseling.
Dr. Irons specializes in areas of mood disorders, personality disorders, weight loss and nutrition, anxiety, and phobias.Joyce has over 30 years of management, consulting, teaching, and counseling experience. Joyce served as an instructor and Chair of The Home Economics and Industrial Arts Department at Hempstead High School in New York, and was a professor of Psychology at Howard University, and Clark Atlanta University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Tuskegee University, a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Long Island University, a Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development, and a Ph.D in Philosophy from the School of Counseling and Psychological Services at Clark Atlanta University.
Dr. Irons is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Counseling Association of Georgia, the National Board of Certified Counselors, the Atlanta Business League, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, the Minority Suppliers and Diversity Council, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Ben Hill United Methodist Church.
