Let’s face it, we face so many increasing demands each and every day.  How can we balance it all?  Who can we consult for strategic planning?  Or better yet, who is willing to listen to the daily struggle of managing the household, meeting the demands of our employer, ensuring all of the bills are paid on time and trying to fit in time to live life rather than merely exist in the world?  Adolescents also face many demands and pressures, but they may not necessarily know the best ways to manage and need an outlet as well.  Well, that person could be me.  No matter the situation or problem, everyone deserves the right to be heard and understood.  Allow me to be the Therapist who can guide you through some of your toughest challenges, finding solutions or just better ways to manage.

I work with adults and teens, and have also worked with children, from all walks of life who experience a variety of issues.  I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, Certified Anger Management Specialist, and Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator.  I have also been trained in assessing sexual offenders and children with problem sexual behaviors.

I use an eclectic approach that combines various theories that take into account a combination of thoughts, emotions and familial dynamics while being sensitive to one’s culture and spirituality.  The theoretical approaches I integrate include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and Gestalt Therapy.  Telemedicine, the use of technology to connect with a Therapist via a video application or telephone usage, allows for a more convenient way to receive services without necessarily needing to appear face-to-face in an office setting.  If you are interested in Telemedicine, let us setup an appointment!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends, working out when time permits and exploring new opportunities for using my abilities to serve others.  I also enjoy baking, leaving others hoping I have left warm cookies, chewy brownies or a buttery cake to share with them.
